We did this for a benefit comp for The Brigid Alliance, an organization that helps people get the resources they need to medically terminate a pregnancy. All of us as well as much of the rest of the country were horrified by the supreme court's ruling to overturn Roe V. Wade. Abortion is healthcare. It seemed fitting to do this song because let's be honest, that whole thing was put in motion by bible thumping lunatics who are just taking small steps in trying to make us all bow to their will. It's important for us as people to stand in the way of anything like that. Perhaps thats the reason why we changed one of the lines in the song to "you picked up a bible and now you're god"

The current lineup of Lesser Minds did not record this song. Alex Casey was playing drums with us early on and you would have seen him play with us had our first two shows not get cancelled due to COVID. Following those cancellations, his life got busier and wasting his time with us wasn't in the cards. We are thankful that he took the time to hang out with us.

Anthony Willie played guitar on this as well, which is a fitting footnote to his formative time with this band. Anthony's a real one.

We'd also like to thank the Bonfanti fam for helping us out with this cover art. It's the next generation that's gonna suffer most now that those protections have been rolled back, this seemed like a stark reboot of the original Minor Threat 7" cover art from 1981.
